My opponent Адмирал Bissimo, reports that the Russian Naval Yard has launched the Admiral Nakhimov. Splendid!

In response the Japanese are stepping up production on the Asama.

Look Out Scarborough!

About a year ago I got into WW1 naval wargaming. My gaming buddy and I decided on modeling the English and German Battlecruiser fleets as they saw the most action and had the coolest ships...

So here they are; Franz Von Hippers Battlecruiser squadron, with Light Cruisers and Destroyers as they were at Jutland in 1/2400 scale.

1/2400 SMS Lutzow

One of my (many) projects is Adm. Hippers Battlecruiser squadron in 1/2400 scale. All of the BC's and the SMS Blucher are painted and awaiting final basing. Here is a picture of the latest, SMS Lutzow from C in C models. http://www.pfc-cinc.com/front_page.html

Pictures of Japanese and Russian Armored Cruisers

One of the appeals of the Pre-Dreadnought (Pre-Battlecrusier really) era is the heyday of the Armored Crusier. I have two, here are pictures of the real ships...

Russian AC Admiral Nakhimov

Japanses AC Asama

I have models of both ships in 1/600. Hmm, looks like I'm going to try my hand at rigging...

1/600 Pre-Dreadnoughts from Old Glory

My wife and kids bought me an Old-Glory Army membership and $50.00 gift card for Fathers Day! It was spent quickly. I just got the 1/600 Japanese and Russian ships in the mail...
